Reading Guide

Updated: 16 hours ago

I am incredibly thankful for my readers. They are the ones who make an author's dreams come true, breathe life into books, and are the coolest people to hang out with, in my opinion. I hope you have found friends through your love of reading too. There's nothing quite like discussing a book with another person. And let's not forget the magic of book clubs - they're amazing if you find one that suits your tastes.

Some of my dedicated fans may have noticed a common thread connecting Armored Hours, Ghostly Howls, Transformed Nexus, and Altered Helix. While the concept of reincarnation is not fully revealed until Armored Hours, there are small hints sprinkled throughout the other books. In the eBook version of Armored Hours, I even included hyperlinks to these other books at key points in the story. Unfortunately, readers who prefer print versions cannot access these links by clicking on them.

For those who may be new to my work and started with Armored Hours, I truly hope you will read my other series as well! There is a darker theme that runs through all of my books. When I was writing the first series, I was recovering from a life-threatening illness. Many of these stories were crafted in hospital waiting rooms while undergoing procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and hearing tests. Writing fiction was a form of therapy that helped me survive during this tumultuous time.

My books also contain elements of fantasy, thriller, romance, and trippy sci-fi - creating a unique blend for readers to enjoy. As you make your way through the series, it will become evident which books focus on the initial reincarnation and which ones involve the antagonist manipulating this cycle with his alternate duplicates, Counters, throughout time. This is how the story unfolded in my mind and evolved naturally over time.

It may have been a risk to follow my heart with these series, but it felt like the right path for me. Countless years, critiques, revisions, and preparation went into creating these books. I am grateful to have readers who enjoy them. I cherish reading reviews (even the ones that point out flaws) as they help me grow as an author. My hope is to continue writing and sharing stories with readers for the rest of my life, and I encourage everyone to follow their dreams, just as I have pursued mine through writing.
